New Neighbors
The arborvitae the deer munched on this winter is now home to a pair of Robins. They are directly outside my bedroom window just below eye level - I can look right into the nest. The nest looks pretty precarious, so I hope it holds out long enough for the babies to fledge. My hummingbird feeders have attracted some Baltimore Orioles. I've never seen them around my place. I can only think the feeder out in the open attracted them. One of them is pulling a bee guard off one feeding tube. I'm tempted to get an oriole feeder just to save my hummingbird feeders. The bird feeders in the yard are also attracting Chipping sparrows. They are such cute little guys. This is promising to be an exceptional year for wildlife so far. Soon the frogs should be moving into the pond.
